Elemental Ammo

Which elemental ammo is used against which enemies? Is there one type that is overall the best to use?

No idea. I've used lightning, which seemed to work well on most things. I think it does 2x damage, so that is an all around type elemental ammo to use.

I used the Ice (I think that is the name) marbles on the Astrolabe tower of power automaton boss to good affect. Didn't work near as well for the Provisioner tower of power boss though.

It would seem logical, that lightning works well against automaton enemies. Fire against trees seems logical, too. If only there was ANY informaton in the game itself.

Is it worth the effort at all? That stuff is pretty expensive...

Ice is good damage and fairly cheap to make, use the appropriate card to double your crafting investments.

I don't actually craft it. I save it from looting in the fae dungeons (don't recall the exact name). The ones you enter underground through a portal. Break all the round vase things that have a gold color to them. They will drop ammo (and other stuff I think). Should be enough to do the tower of powers.

Fire appears to have aoe and high power but I like lightning on automatons. Two revolver quadshots gets the knight I think he is, one step below bishop. Have used the poison ones some but haven't found anything that is overly weak to it. Might actually try on bugs. Usually opposite kind of effects work but maybe not in this game. Still lots to learn.

you find a bunch in every shiny golden barrel in the vaults. just picking up a couple here and there will give you quite a handful

Ice is very good against elder eoten as is fire

Id assume ice is good vs sun giant, too.
Poison dosent seem strong vs anything yet, so maybe an unfinished new boss.

I have not seen a difference in the damage I deal to an enemy based on type. Fire seems to do DoT damage, Ice seems to be area affect, and lightning seems to be increased single target damage. At least that is the way it has worked for me so far.

Would be great to have an official responce on how elemental damage works though

Ice should slow things down but since all critters are mad dancers, shrug but haven't tested it that much yet. LIghtning + pickaxe for the robots is quickest. Pickaxe on beetles/shells, spiders. The spiders are annoying af. My fav is when they spit through a solid wall and way far away to get you. Their routine needs work. lol
