What are you even implying with your post
Where have you been? Realm cards have been a mechanic within the game for as long as I can remember. Aside from that, what is your problem with realm cards? It's a way to add replayability and variety to the worlds that you find yourself in. Do you even know what it is that you're complaining about?
Just some bored fool
- Cards are the key that unlocks access to brand new types of realms. Each with environments, creatures, and discoveries to be explored.
- Using Nightingale Realm Cards lets you apply agency and choice over what kind of realm you’re going to open. Allowing you to connect to one that fits your current needs and desires for adventure.
What this tells me is that its an item that somehow rerolls your characters world if you get bored of it, based simply on the fact that all character realms are procedurally generated (like Diablo).
What it does NOT say is how they are acquired. This would lead me to believe that it is, in fact a real cash item, not something that can be found or earned in the game through standard gameplay. Why else would they not want to say anything?
I guess if it's something they're selling for like 99 cents (even then, if the gatcha gods are not with you, even that can still add up fast), it's not despicably awful, but I'd be more inclined to guess it will likely be more in the $15-20 range.
Either way, the news is disappointing to say the least. But we probably wont see the whole picture until launch. For now, I'm going to hold off on pre-ordering this until the developers can be more forthcoming about their intentions for doing this with what would seem to be a core gameplay mechanic.
I mean it was stated in there Dev video "Nightingale Journal: Realm Cards"
However If you have different knowledge of how they are going to be selling the realm cards to us please share that so we can all be informed on the matter. As that would be very important to know as they game is fully based around "Exploring Realms".
Their source is "Tencent bad so they are going to lock gameplay with money"
Aka nothing
