my firsts keep dissapering

so i was playing i paid for first of brick it took my resources but didn't spawn then i got the first of Oak but when i died he just disappeared off the face of the earth and when i checked where i got him he wasn't there do i have to restart my game to get the fist of oak or do i just have to find him again i just need help because i have had so many other glitches and this is just 1 more added to the pile

did you check any of the town's? he is supposed to spawn back in any town when he dies or gets lost
