How to unlock Freddie?

Under Heroes to unlock Freddie it just says "EVENT". So how do I unlock him? When he was free to play I had the option, but now he's not it's gone away.

The developers screwed up on how to obtain that character (also Nightwatch), they released a new training event BUT they made it exclusive to newcomers (if you started playing Farlight 84 this year in September). The event gives newcomers rewards for completing certain tasks in training grounds and BR so they are welcomed to the game, Freddie and Nightwatch were among the rewards, only be obtained this way rather than using gold coins so if you started playing before September but did not obtain these characters then there's currently no way of getting them because you are locked out of the event as you are not considered a newcomer.
