Just throwing my hat in the ring here and saying keyboard controls are thoroughly broken. They seem to default to controller buttons, and will only function for a split second should you use the arrow keys before immediately returning to controller format. This has rendered it impossible to hold down buttons, as the button is only considered "held" for a split second before going back to controller mode.
This is a downright debilitating glitch, especially as I frankly have no interest in playing CSF with a controller, so I hope it's dealt with ASAP!
update: I checked in with our lead designer: Is there a chance that your gamepad is plugged in and the analog stick is pressed in a direction? This is something that happened to them as well.
I'm afraid at this moment I don't recall my exact specs, and it'll take me a little while to be back at my desktop to get them. As far as I can tell, no controller was plugged in. As far as how the glitch manifested, the buttons displayed the controller inputs by default, flickering to show the arrow keys when I pressed one. It allowed me to make individual button inputs, but the problems arose when I was asked to hold down any of the arrow keys.
If I had to guess, the game was specifically acting as if I were holding "Up" on a gamepad. Whenever I entered menus, it would default to the top option and refuse to move unless I used my mouse specifically, but I would like to reiterate that no controller was plugged in at the time. I will update this post once I'm back at my desktop and provide my specs.
EDIT 1: I have made an attempt at playing the game on my laptop, and keyboard controls are working. At this point, I'm forced to assume the flaw must lie on my end somewhere, though I'll still provide my specs once I'm back at my desktop. I'll also edit my initial post to indicate as such.
