How to break this wall? I'm stuck

I can see that wall on right from my character is breakable, but I'm unable to jump and attack it.

Do I need to time jump key somehow?

On my first play I was able to smash it from first try. But then I've died and had to retry the level. And now I'm stuck and can't break this damn wall.

you have to run and hold x (attack) or hold x and run. that smashes walls for me

thanks. it worked. Turns out he jumps forward if you press x while running.
