Josh's tape level is way too difficult now.

I just started playing this game a few days ago and I've been finding the first level (Josh's tape) to be nearly impossible. It seems that the hostile creature that appears when the lights turn red now destroys all the lights, leaving the player with the impossible task of having to deal with the situation in complete darkness. I watched an older playthrough on YouTube from about a year ago in which the lights stayed on even with the monster nearby, which gave the player a chance to escape. No wonder the most reviews of this game are so negative. Hopefully the devs will revert it back to the way it was previously and make it playable again.

yeah i cant get through it at all, i was hoping this backrooms game was not going to suck like the rest but i was wrong.

Can 827384 work for now? The computer only allows single-time entry. Once finished typing either two of the code it's locked and unable to interact again. Its background is different from the previous versions too, where the windows XP like background once was. If they decide to make this harder at least they should left 827384 untouched. If they insist on making this game sucks as the other backroom games do, they'll certainly be in trouble. I hope they can revert it back soon.

I tried using this code just now for safety but it didn't work for me. The computer locked and nothing happened so I just quit and went to the next tape.
