1. Ambulance Life REQUIRES installation to an internal SSD. An incredible amount of issues pop up with HDDs and using externals of either flavor.
Folks can natively transfer their game installations to other drives using Steam:
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/4BD4-4528-6B2E-8327
2. Verify the integrity of your installation files:
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB
3. Delete your existing Game Settings file and let the game re-create it:
- First, close your game.
- Next, delete your "GameUserSettings.ini" file.
- Lastly, restart your game. The developers are actively monitoring.
File Path:If you're still having this issue, please provide your Video Settings and PC Specs so I can escalate to the devs!

I can confirm that it is on a SSD with 300 gigs available after install.
Confirmed that I deleted out the Gameusersettings config.
I can play sometimes for as long as an hour to make content on this game. Other times, It happens randomly. I can recreated this about 50% of the time if I start a Shift and then press ESC and back out to cancel shift to main menu if that helps.
