To be an asset flip it should have a similar game with similar mechanics; I don't think I have ever seen another ambulance game with the same mechanics. Then if you call "asset flip" any game that use assets from an asset store; then we should close the asset store? This is why the asset store exist.... to sell assets so others can use them in their games LOL
My worries are more aimed towards how the current state of another game of theirs is currently in.
Patrol officer is a game that is what, 4years old ? But that game has more bugs than i can count on 2 hands in the first hour of play.
They said they learned of their mistakes but i hate to say it, devs these days rely to much on UE
To be failr you are talking of a game released and done.
When a game is released is forgotten. Very few developers these days release patches for their games after a year or so; they move on to the next thing. It is the nature of the beast. This is why the game should be evaluated for what it is at launch and when someone says "buy it now, we will fix it later", I usually pass as I know that once you make the sale, you have no incentive to fix something.
And at the same time, if you don't make the sale you have even less incentives to fix it... this is why having a publisher is bad, as nobody really have any interest beside the intial rush of sales
yes you are a asset flip
