Is melee Aisling a viable build?

it just seems really risky to put her in melee range but it also seems fun to just gang up with codor to molly whop your opponents

Yes. Just make sure to take cleanse on E so you can't be CC'd escaping and make liberal use of your jump attack. Keep in mind you can jump attack in mid air to change direction.

That's nice to hear, is it better to take the weaken on basic attack or the burning bonus damage?

If you're going DPS? I'd say burning. I only go weakening if I'm doing Melee support Asling.
