1.2: not as easy as it sounds and very few people are going to opt in to joining a match that might end 30 seconds after they join as a loss
- guy who can spend 30 at McDonalds but complains when a game is 20 USD or less.
-Guy that still sticks around in a -dead- game's forum.
Not sure what that has to do with anything? someone could be a billionaire and still call something a cash grab, that doesn't make it any less true lol
It has a LOT to do with everything.
mcdonalds doesn't copy/paste burgers at no costs, doesn't give you burgers full of bugs and dust, doesn't force you to eat it on the spot while they watch over you, and doesn't take the burger out of your mouth while keeping your money
i asked multiple questions and nobody from this company answered anything. they went basically silent from release. they basically didn't fix anything. the game is, on a technical level, worse than it was when it shut down 6 years ago. they stated in one of their videos that they actually have little control over the game because it's not the original developers and they can't do much. there is apparently no player-hosted servers functionality. it seems that they went no-microtransactions for the good advertising it would generate and because it would generate a quick revenue spike on release as they don't actually plan to support the game, as opposed to free to play with microtransactions where everyone would have seen that it was full of bugs and unbalanced and locked capped at 60 fps (if even that) and turned into a meme of a bad quality game that embarassingly tries to sell microtransactions, which wouldn't have worked before they shut the servers down. if it's not a cash grab it still looks a lot like it with little to no reason to believe otherwise
Bit weird to shame someone for spending money on something that need to survive but are frugal about their hobbies.
(Also Mc Donalds slaps...sometimes)
Did the matchmaking break again? I felt like it was fixed after the first day and a half or so.
I'd rather get into a game than sit in queue for five plus minutes only to get kicked out because somebody forgot to press ready.
We have to stop laboring under the assumption that Gigantic is going to become the next Overwatch. It's going to gradually lose its playerbase again, queue times are going to get longer and longer, and when queue times are 5-10 minutes or more the chance that somebody is away from their desk for a bit and misses the prompt start to get much, much higher.
