Ultrawide?
No support. I was a founder for the original back in the day. You would have thought that that had more than enough time with using Unreal they would have supported it.

For the initial first few seconds in a match, I see the level in ultrawide before black bars come in on the side.

I've already refunded. I'm not wasting my time again. Got burned on Founder edition and not worth paying for it again.

Less than 5% of people have ultrawide monitors, 8 years ago, it was closer to 0%, just like the amount of sense your complaint makes.

Ultrawide gamers when they can't cheat an fov advantage.

game will die anyways. so doesn't matter

I've heard the original devs decided against it for fear of a wider view giving ultrawide players an advantage. I have mixed feelings on it. What about the people playing on low-end hardware who can't play at 60fps? Does that then it should be capped at 30 so no one has an advantage?

UE3 hasn't been in active development for a really long time, this game is using an ancient engine by modern standards

Other UE3 games have supported ultrawide so don't go blaming the engine. Haven't confirmed but supposedly devs purposely avoided implementing UW for competetive reasons. Overwatch used the same justification for a while but they've since changed to support it.

Sure, but they will have had to make that work, UE is open source so you can fix things themselves, but that doesn't mean people are going to put in that effort

As somebody with a 32:9 1440p OLED SUltrawide if you unironically expected support for UW monitors to be added to a UE3 game getting a touch-up job and re-launched after a coincidence of IP ownership you're actually insane.

When the original Gigantic was out 16:9 1080p 60hz monitors were the gold standard and considered high-end for gaming. Barely anybody had UW monitors which were absurdly expensive hobbyist displays even more than they are today.
