There is an Asia server but it seems to be having some kind of problem the NA server is not, it will be fixed, be patient, they're not just going to write off an entire continent.

If you're desperate, the servers aren't locked to your accounts region, I'm VPNing to the US servers from Taiwan and my ping is fine.

This was posted on discord on release day:
It's awesome to see you all in-game! Quick update regarding some of the reported issues:
The Asia server is currently not available and we're working on bringing it back up as soon as possible!
We're also investigating the crash issues on PS5.

Few hours later same day:
We've found the Asia server issue and addressed it. We are rolling it out now. Players will be disconnected briefly while we roll out the change. Apologies for the interruption. We'll let you get back to your brawling right away!
