Just because you don't know the concept of patience doesn't mean the game is dead.
Devs have acknowledged the issues.

Gigantic has already had a peak of over 5k players on steam today, currently says almost 3k people were playing 10 minutes ago, and is on the top sellers list. Word of mouth hasn't even spread much yet, barely anyone is covering the game cause it just released. Give it more than 24 hours before drawing conclusions, cause it is currently more alive than VTM: Bloodhunt and that game still has an active playerbase. If it isn't looking good in a week, then your predictions might make more sense, but based on the current issue being server issues, it implies that they might have a larger influx of players than they might have expected, just like Helldivers 2.
