Why pay2play?

Its a moba, you're trying to compete with Smite, LoL and Dota 2 which are all free2play.
You lock the fps at 60, throw a 16$ price tag on it and expect good results?

I assume its just a quick cash grab, i doubt it even changed much from the previous game.

There's a lot wrong with the state of this game (and I mean a LOT) but as far as I am aware there is no way to buy skins for real money and these can only be unlocked by playing (if you were able to actually play anyway...), so I can't see how they are miking people with skins.

Game should have been F2P with charged cosmetics, that's one of the main issues.

Welp, as someone who wasn't fed dickmilk as a baby (unlike OP), and coming from the FGC where there could be a community of 20 people playing a game that is 25+ years old, I bought the game to play it with other people who enjoy(ed) the game when it was around in 2017, and to just have fun from time to time with said people.

Ya gotta have been dickfed as a baby to think this game was released with the idea of "yes, we're going to compete with Overwatch and Dota and Fortine HAHA! and we're going to WIN! by charging people! ITS A FOOLPROOF PLAN!!!" as opposed to "ya know, people still play this game on private servers and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ who owns the build that allows for private servers hoards it and sells it under the rug on his shady discord server, why don't we figure out a way to get it to those people, maybe a few more? We can then use this money to fund other projects, ya know"

But, as you can understand, not all people were fed breast milk *shrug*
