Because those games let you atleast experience the game before you spend money, this game, which has already died once, thinks that its worth you buying before you get a chance to play it
That isn't going to end well :P
I think peoples complaints are justified, you're just cockriding the game for no reason.
this is the reason why P2P is detriment in a competitive pvp game imo, people gonna be scared to invest money like myself. I am on edge on buying it but if it was free it would be no brainer.
That's 3 upsides btw.
1: Free to play is easy for the consumer to try out the game
2: The cash flow continues for longer, because people will continue buying skins overtime
3. Its optional to spend money - just like its optional to buy the game, which many people wont because its pay2play whereas if its free2play they ATLEAST would be playing the game, keeping the community alive.
OW2 is free2play
Valorant is free2play
Paladins is free2play
What makes people think that trying to compete with those games and putting a high entry price on it will work out?
There is no future roadmap. There are no updates planned. There is no new content planned. Afaik there aren't even patches planned. Everything that is ever coming to this game is here, take it or leave it.
