looked at steamcharts and it says average of 300 players past 30 days. is this correct? is the game dying already?

It's on 4 other platforms that account for the majority of the playerbase, nobody knows the exact numbers but it's estimated somewhere in the 1000-2000 range, it wouldn't retain the queue times or matchmaking it has with only 300 players.

1000-2000 is still a small game, and it's probably always going to be, but it's active, and it's really really fun.

If you're having trouble finding matches right now, there is a queue bug that makes it more difficult to find matches when solo-queueing. It's best to queue with a team, but if you want to queue solo make sure requeue every 1:30 or so, and if it takes more than 3 or so requeues to find a match, close and restart the client. Most days queues average 30 seconds, hopefully they fix the bug soon.

Thats only numbers. I get matches fast on peak (duo queueing since solo is bugged atm).

It is dead...2000 players across 3 platforms is terrible. The servers will be offline by August.
I've already seen this multiple times. Battlerite , Wildstar , Rumbleverse , Wayfinder. Id be surprised if it's still around by the end of the year.
I just bought it while it's on sale so I can experience the game while there's still a small player base.
from what im seeing a lot of the recent reviews are from early this month or late april when they just came back and hadnt fixed any bugs or anything and after their reviews they didnt play much again so i think maybe the poor relaunch is the reason its so low tbh

They fixed some crucial things (invincible bot bug, ps5 crash) and announced further patches (soloq bug etc). You can also see on steamdb patch history that they are working almost daily on it. However there is not much communication and the fixes take way too long. I guess thats also reason for the last reviews.

Atm it's played by enough people to get matches, especially on peak. Soloq bug extends waiting but playing with others gets you matches almost instant. If soone is interested: dont give to much on doomposts here, try and refund if you're not getting into it.

Does everyone in these threads just forget or literally not know any of the context that lead to this game being RE-released? bc the way people talk leads me to believe so.

The game has a dedicated cult fanbase, it's players aren't high, but stable and active. The reason the game won't "die" (whatever that means to you) is because the game always had a playerbase even when it was gone, and the WHOLE point of this re-release was to give it back.
The servers aren't going anywhere, and if it ever does go fully offline, server tools will be released with it, unlike the prior shutdown.

So many broken records on here

Little bit oversensitive aren't you?
I'm not wishing anything negative for the game. I already said I just bought it because I want to play.

Go touch some grass.

the twitch view count is still a pretty good indicator on how much interest a game has, though, it doesn't reflect the player numbers.

More of a general reply that I just so happened to piggy off you, my bad since I didn't specify, but no need for sensitive insults either.
