Episode 3 thoughts

So far I am actually impressed;

First off the Main Character has returned to being his former normal self....

Fighting is actually back....

The game flow feels like I am actually at college and time is actually passing, I have actually attended class several times its certainly solid so far....

I haven't had many Nit Picks (I think thats the best way to describe my issues, as they are not really important but they are nit picky issues)

1) Found it aggravating and disgusting that I had a forced advertisement for the new game being the very first thing I saw when I started up the game, NOT CLASSY, very much pissed me off....

2) About Josh Shows up and forces the main character to head to a strip club after admitting to being a drug dealer with no way to tell him to go screw off.

3) At one point you the main character makes the statement that you never had sex in a hotel, which is PATENTLY FALSE, how have we forgotten our European trip so damn soon, where we pretty much lived in a hotel for several weeks and did have multiple sexual occurrences...

4) Nora the very smart intelligent girl she is really is having an issue with the money burning a hole in her pocket as she want to just toss it all out the window or ultra extravagant expenditures for a Pajama Party sleep over... REALLY wish I could have more forcefully told her that she was BEING STUPID and throwing the groups money away....

However other then these Nit picky things I am very happy with this episode of the game... The Price point seemed solid, I am still not actually done with my first play thru yet but I have played enough to get the sense that this is NOT another Pool Party episode in fact it feels like a starkly different and very much back to the original idea of the game type episode, and I am quite happy I have given it a try....

Okay just finished the Episode...
And my number 1 complaint bar none is this whole thing was FAR TOO SHORT....
The Content was not nearly as long as any of the previous episodes, maybe it was a combination of actually enjoying it vs not being that long but it felt even shorter then pool party....

So to my previous statement about the Price point being good well i take that back because this was definitely the shortest installment of the game....

So short in fact that I feel like this game is actually paying for the "FREE" Content that steve so graciously added too the pool party?!? Seriously this game was short enough to feel like I just got scammed....

For me it also felt short, but it's due in part to the fact that I missed a lot of content due to my choices... now that a lot of content is being locked behind relationship checks, it's gonna start feeling shorter because we won't have access to all the girl's scenes at the same time... something that affects many non-harem games, basically, like BaDIK's newest episode.

Not sure if it was really that short I didn't put a timer on there. Anyway I don't mind if its the shortest better this than going through pool party, that one was really a drag with the detective work and Penny's game not being fun to do.

I'm overall pleased with it, feels actually more like CK 1 again which was great. I already put my critique on discord channel:

1) not much Lauren, so that s*cks a bit when you are dating her
2) an annoying bug considering Riley becoming loyal when on the Apes route and siding with her on polygamy in CK2 ep1 (thx jacowboy for the info), so I'm unable to trigger the Riley-Samantha scene.

Loyal is higher than FWB, so the problem with the Riley/Sam thing is un-related to the status, it's just a bug on the apes path... you can get the scene as a wolf with loyal status... it should be fixed in the next update.

I thought Samantha said she didn't ♥♥♥♥ Wolves? I didn't realize there was a scene there, what are the conditions for it? I sided with Riley re: polygamy, but my only interaction with Samantha was at the bar when out with Penelope and her friend.

You just need Riley on FWB/loyal... the scene should trigger regardless of frat choice... but again, it's bugged on the apes path... the wolves path is fine.

And yes, she said that, but it seems some changes might be coming... perhaps =P

Maybe I'm missing something, but entering the Winter Brawl both President's say I sucked at the Freshman fight which makes no sense since I won the fight while the 3rd Fresh (Perry/Caleb) backed out. Retcon issue or bug issue?

No that's part of the problem with this game, the dev\devs tend to lose track of certain events in the game or just plain forget events\ stories. Just look what happen in pool party.
I notice they keep updating the game trying to fix what was left out and bug fixes{seems to be many in this lol!} And this last esp is pretty short to boot!

Okay, I thought that was the reason. I went through several different times/ways and they kept bashing me for no reason. That's really stupid.
I also noticed there's a "Victories" counter now, but it doesn't change whatsoever

Anyone else have problems skipping dialogue after downloading ep3? My poor index finger is getting cramped repeating the same pointless chats just to get too the point of this game. (btw auto is to slow.) I've tried loading from ep2 save points from the beginning middle and end saves. But for some reason it won't let me skip anything anymore. Is this a bug?

Yep, another new bug. It seems to not remember we have read certain parts of the story that we already have. (I just went into preferences and toggled the Skip Unseen Text on for a temporary fix)

If your #1 problem is that it was short then that's good news. That means the content was actually enjoyable and the only thing is that the episodes need to be longer going forward. That and quick fixes to bugs and other issues with the game and it's features. I would have hope for the future of the game.

The content being short is a problem though.. when you view it from a only one relationship path. The PJ party.. it was lacking.. save for the intro of the new girl from another school. When you look at it.. in pool party.. you didn't have enough time in the day to do everything and had to make a few choices. In Ep3, you are watching a few days or a week pass with nothing going on.. like WTH.

All in all .. a snippit of main story. with a scene or two for each girl. I will state it felt more in line to how CK1 was. So that's a plus..

Oh and ya seeing that ad trying to push the 'NEW' game.. kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

The PJ party felt very... empty. Like I know it was supposed to be down low, but I think what is really is missing for that stuff is the random other NPCs like Faris, Elijah, Grayson, etc. even unnamed or rarely scene characters. I know comparisons aren't fair but are still a thing and I compare the PJ Party to the Dorm Party in BaD, there was just so much more and weird/random things that had no bearing on the story. It fleshes the Roam our better.
