Found two ways to softlock your game

[GIGAWIZARD]

1.) You can be trapped in the elemental planes without having learned the Rain spell, making it so you can't progress when given the objective to douse the wizards. This is alright, since you can cast the Rain spell without having learned it.
2.) Unfortunately, there's another way to get stuck in the same area. It seems you can only traverse the lava to the east of the place you enter the fire plane from if you drink a goblet to heal (assuming you don't have another spell to help you, which is possible). You'll be left with one tick of health left when you reach the shore. However, there's a checkpoint on the other side with no way to progress, and you don't have enough health to make it back. This seems to softlock your save.

I have 2 goblets and I take so much damage that I always die even when I use my healing in full. I am actually stuck in the place with ice orbs and it says i have one, but I already destroyed all three. Hope the devs read this! Havent seen them engage in the forum yet.

I'm stuck on the ice orbs as well. I had destroyed one and closed the game at the next checkpoint. When I continued my game later I carried on to destroy the next two orbs, but the grimoire only showed I had 2/3. Exiting and restarting the games now shows I have 0/3, but they are all destroyed. I double checked in case they respawned, but there are no orbs left on the map.

Same problem here. I don't know if i am missing something or i am doing something wrong, but it looks like is softlocked for me too. If i find a solution i will let you know guys :D Do you just remember where the Wizard giving you the Orb quest is? I can't find him... he disappear after you talked with him?

You get the orb quest by discovering and destroying the first orb :) I ended up starting a new game, it didn't take too long to catch back up to the orbs objective. I got passed it by completing the whole objective and not exiting the game part way through this time!

Thank you! So it seems the only way to "fix" this problem is to restart the game, for now. Thankfully is not too far ahead in the game. I will try to go around a little bit more to see if there's a way to fix the problem directly to that section. I remember i found someone telling me about the orbs, but maybe i am just not remembering right!

you can also scuttle the main quest-line by returning to another area after completing a more advanced section of the main quest; eg returning to the elemental plane after completing the abandoned wing main quest-line can result in resetting the main quest to the elemental plane but with no prompts to complete it leaving the wizard king directing you to the the elemental plane and not the boss fight leading to the final area requiring a fresh start.

Just because I didnt see anyone else mention it, I thought that was the way to cross at first too, however you will eventually be given the Fire Shield spell in the air dimension that lets you walk on lava.
