Constant Micro Stutters
15 minutes play time 15 minutes of micro stutters/fps drops. I was excited for the game but it is currently unplayable for me.
12700k and a 4080 at 1440p and I get 200+ fps then it stutters/drops fps.
Anyone else experiencing it?

The KT engine they use has always sucked. I run borderless window mode, and have it installed on a ssd. Seems to help, but some stutter will always show at times. Usually through the woods.

I ain't even in the woods lol, I can't drive more than 2 inches without stutters.

Go to the video settings and put it in borderless window and see if that helps.

Last night I was briefly watching a gentleman play the PS5 version, he had the same issues. He actually said “I knew I should have bought this on PC”

My issue is that the game freezes for 1-2 seconds (screen frozen, sound constant). It happens randomly, a few times a minute. No particular place, its not a graphics thing. It even happens while in the menu.

Looking at performance monitor, when the freeze occurs, there is network traffic.

My work around is to disable the network, which is a pain, but way better than having the freezes. Network turned off, I can do a whole lap, no freezes. Turn it back on and the freezes occur again. Interestingly, with the network on, I can watch a replay of 2 laps without any freezes.

I'm in Oz, a network ping for TT3.exe process is about 290ms.

Ryzen 9 5950X, 3080ti, 32GB RAM, SSD, Win 10

Aside from that, I am enjoying the game, it feels better to me than TT1 or TT2.

No, smooth as butter!

This issue existed in Rims Racing (same engine iirc) and it persists here.

After seeing TT3 launch with the same issue I have zero hopes of it being resolved.

Rims racing was almost immediately abandoned by its developers, I suspect because they realized they had coded themselves into unsolvable corners.

Those problems persist and likely still have no solution, so enjoy!

I've personally experienced the issue across two difference machines now. It's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ code.

And I'm also betting that the devs will NEVER respond to us about it and ignore the problem just like in Rims.

Smooth as butter for me, on rtx3060, 32gb ram & 5600X on an SSD, kept the graphics setting on default (very high), but also turned off vignette and motion blur.

I'm running 4090, 13900K, 32GB, m2 SSD. It still has one or two stutters per session.

BUT this has nothing to do with our specs. My CPU and GPU barely get above ambient temps while running this game at max settings. This is about ♥♥♥♥♥♥ code.

The studder or screen tearing was fixed when i played the game in borderless fullscreen and no V-sync. Aslo play without motion blur, depth of field and vingette . Get 170-200fps butter smooth.

Be aware that in borderless fullscreen you need to have you windows (desktop) FPS set to your screens max fps to take advantage.

I remember having this issue before and for some reason, it runs better on HDD rather than SSD.

Every 5 seconds the game stutters while racing for me. Unplayable

5900X & 3080Ti win10 runs good. 10750H & 2070 win10 runs fine.
borderless, no vsync
