Well, learning might be a bit much for this game.
It's not a serious or competitiv fps or anything like this (at least not for my group or me).
It's more a mario party version of a 3rd person shooter. There are things good to know, but not at all necessary to play.
I play it almost always in a 2-4 people pve coop team and it's very fun, for this kind of gameplayer it's not that interesting if the game is "alive" ore not. Note i prefer PVE in pretty much every game which is not like CS, so this might be a bit biased.
Also note that there are few modes you can just play in singleplayer. Not that much but they are there and worth to note and do.

There are often sales for this game up to 90%. Also check keystores if you want it NOW. And yes, YES it is worth 3€ ;-)
30€ Would be a bit much, though as i played it for ~200 hours now it would be still ok.
