inviting friend does not work

for some reason i try to join my friend through the globe doesnt work then i try to invite him doesnt work idk how to fix it only way we found how to play together is to time when we joining a game

What's happening when you click on invite when you are in your hub?

it keeps on like loading me into his lobby but it just says the error message and stops working

So even in the backyard you can't invite him successfully.
probably reinstall the EAapp, or check the eaapp is not blocked by your firewall.

how do i unblock ea app?

Go to your firewall settings and check allowed apps.
There should be various EA app items like
EA app (EABackgroundService)

When you are already there also check pvz, but this should be allowed otherwise you won't be able to play pvz in multiplayer at all.
