About microtransactions
The deluxe edition we're buying includes some classes, skins and 200k currency. I've seen on the origin store that you can buy milions of that currency for real money.

What's that for?

- Pay to win?
- Pay to progress faster (buying classes you'd normally unlock by playing)?
- Pay for QoL (inventory space, shorter queues etc)?
- Pay to look good?

Also, I've heard the grind required to unlock the classes and characters is pretty heavy since they're like 100+ and there's this comment I found on reddit:

"You also have to wait about 4 months so that you can get hover goat and torchwood"
What does it mean?

I think that these money is just to unlock some skins, and remember that not everything on reddit is true

Just like not everything on steam, not everything on the internet, not everything in the world... that's why I'm asking.

nah, my friend you don't have to buy currency. when i played on origin i've never spent money on it, even so i had almost everything unlocked.
you earn the same currency at the end of every match. and you can grind 200k in a couple of hours if you are good.

Thank you, but what do you buy with that currency?

Coins are used to buy packs. And these packs give you cosmetics for both zombie and plants including Emotes, hats, face paints, eye-wear, etc. They also give you plant and zombie variant's which takes along time, depending how much time your going to spend on the game.

pack prices are:
2500 - 5 consumables
7500 - 5 items randomly mixed consumables and cosmetics. (1 uncommon item guaranteed)
20000 - 6 items both consumable + cosmetics (1 guaranteed rare item, and a bigger chance of a character piece)
35000 - 7 items (1 guaranteed super rare item or consumable and the biggest chance of a legendary item
200000 - contains 3 infinity items and a chance for a party character sticker.

i think that's because the rainbow stars take ages to get and you have to get more than your maximum to pay for the stuff needed for the two

so it's Pay to look better and Pay to progress faster?

you can't progress faster with any of those packs. the cosmetics are random.
and as we said you don't have to buy currency. i just won a round and made 22k.

maybe not, just look at the packs as cosmetics for your characters and new variants of the same ones to have more fun in the game

Its pay to unlock stuff faster but in game money is generous and I would suggest not wasting your money on coins you get fast enough, Also there is no class better than another and you compete perfectly well with the base stuff not that you'll need to.
