I would say there are always around 200 ppl daily but on weekends and usually the end of days it jumps up to 400-740 maybe 1000 sometimes but that's rare but you could still find lobbies and such

you can almost always find a match with players. sometimes full lobby so i'd say it's worth it even if you play for the story

I just bought it very recently because of the deal, I'm just waiting for the parts to arrive to finally assemble my new gaming pc that ain't a potato so I can play this masterpiece.

dont buy. unplayable due to hackers and lifeless people. EAC is spyware and anti-consumer.

Buy it, I get near instant matchmaking at any time of day in any gamemode (that I play)
I encounter hackers every now and then (every 5 matches or so) but they are easily avoidable by just rejoining. It's extremely fun, goofy, and a nice change of pace from the modern FPS scene.
