Nope, origin is horrible, entire reason it never rivaled steam. They dont have tags like steam, and the description is literally a carbon copy of the steam one. Good luck figuring out gameplay options if you purchase on the origin store.
I bought it to play with friends, but especially to play split screen with my kids.
Its still fun, but its lost 70% of its fun for me if I cant play with them.
Already used the report option on steam for this lying BS from EA.
but don't expect EA to do that anytime soon...
Take a look through the catalogue of EA MP games, and you'll find the pattern emerge. Even the Gears of War makers have adopted this internecine strategy: GoW5 only included campaign local co-op for the PC version; with Horde (the primary replay value of the product) and PvP split-screen modes, which are present on console, removed.
The irony being, it's dastardly and prejudicial design choices like this that keep many from buying the associated games / games from the associated companies. If the local MP suite in GoW5 were intact on PC, I'd have bought that game long ago; were it left in for PvZ:GW2, I'd have thrown down a few bucks for it without a second thought, and then even likely bought copies for friends--if the game were fun. Instead, I just ignore these titles before I even entertain getting them -_-
Ive literally built my own computers since 05. You have no idea what computers actually cost mate lol.
Also, they have their own computers. Im not going to reward EA for POS stuff like this false advertising by buying more copies of the game.
Its actually a violation of steams rules to falsely advertise like this. They cant tag this game as shared/split screen coop if it doesnt actually have it, thats my point. Ive already used the flag on the games page to report it to steam.
Guess I'll have to dig out the PS4 sometime...
