I'll report back if and when anything pans out. In the meantime, this should not happen consistently for anyone, so just reloading and replaying the sequence almost certainly fixes it.
Here is the save. Didn't know which files were important so I just zipped them all.

It happens every time I load this save. Can't continue.
Quick update: Looking at the logs, the issue seems to be related to Addressables, i.e. potentially to missing files. That's a great lead on the one hand, but on the other hand it leads to a terribly complex subject.
I was able to load your save, submit the case, and proceed normally throught the sequence in the hospital. This leads me to believe that your local files are somehow corrupted, so taking the following steps on your end could fix it:
1. Right-click Between Horizons in the Steam library.
2. Select "Properties".
3. Go to the tab "Installed files".
4. Hit "Verify integrity of game files".
If this triggers a re-download of files, you might be good next time you try it.
Yes, this seems to have fixed it. This is the first time file verification *has* actually fixed anything for me.
