Can you submit this via our bug report link here[6k8iky9gz49.typeform.com] so we can investigate when the team is on site? Additionally, in the interim - you can back up your save files by going to your local install folder, opening the Saved > SavedGames folders, and copying all files inside to an additional folder or location. Inserting these back into the folder should reload them as save options on relaunch.
Thanks! So, you're saying if I take the SaveGame.sav file out of SavedGame, paste it someplace else, and then reinsert it in the same folder should fix the problem? I've just tried that, but it doesn't work... (Or am I doing something wrong?)
I'll submit it through the link you sent!
Hm, there was only one file in the folder, but now that I've started a new game it does have two... Maybe this means it won't happen again, then.
In any case, thank you for the fast replies! Luckily, because what I've played so far is so good, I don't mind replaying some of it :)
Ah, guess I'll replay in a week or two.
I now started a new game and saved again in Slot 1, closed and re-opened the game and it seems that it is now saving. However i cannot find the save game location (i don't have the summerfall studios folder in my appdata) so i cannot back up my files.
Hoping this will not happen again because otherwise the game is great so far!

Exactly the same for me. If this bug gets sorted is there a way to skip through anything you've already seen/heard?
First I just backed up the entire folder to be safe, and then I tried renaming files to see what would happen. Of course what happened was that the game just wiped the saves on startup.
From there, I tried restoring the folder with my backup, but the game just continually wipes it every time it starts up.
Is this some sort of Unreal Engine anti-tampering thing that absolutely doesn't belong in a singleplayer game?
The problem I think is that the odd-named file gets automatically erased once you start the game again. I've fortunately saved it in a different folder now (hoping I can somehow continue if the bug gets fixed), but can't seem to find a way to make it start with that file already in there... Hope it gets fixed soon.
