This seems like a bad time for this game to launch...
Right in between BG3 and Starfield... yikes. This is one of those games that needs a bit of space so it doesn't get drowned out by the big guys. I guess to be fair BG3 shifted it's release date to avoid Starfield and landed right in Stray Gods front yard.

But still, I hate when two titles sharing a similar audience, one smaller & innovative, the other larger & more established, launch so close to each other. Makes it all too easy to blame the game trying to do something different for lackluster sales when in fact maybe a better release date would have helped.

I hear what you're saying, but really all three of these games have been in development for many years. It's impossible to anticipate who you'll be up against during your launch window.
Best you can do is, if you like the game and don't want it to be in the shadow of the big titles, spread the word?

The irony of this is that because BG3 shifted it's release date back a month due to Starfield, it happened to then fall on Stray God's original release date last week; as a result Stray Gods pushed their release date forward another week to avoid BG3's launch! :reexcited:

But yeah you're never not going to overlap with something these days. There's just too much out there that different audiences are interested in.

Yea it def was. I wanted this game and but so consumed into BG3 that I forgot it released. I'll probably end up getting it once I finish BG3 though

It's a short game, you can easily fit it in between Baldur's Gate sessions.

Just as soon as the save-game-wipe bug is taken care of, then sure :trolol:

Yeah, you're always up against someone, but BG3 and Starfield... that's a rough one. I was excited about this release because I'm a pretty big David Gaider fan, but with BG3 I haven't really found the time to dig in. I guess it will be there once I'm done, but still...

On the contrary, I tell all my BG3 friends if they want to take their Bard roleplaying to the next level to get this game. Time to make your Bard become a God!

Yep, that's what I keep telling people, but nooo, WoW timed its next patch (on a release schedule that was more or less predictable since the beginning of the year) to coincide with Starfield, a game that has nothing to do with WoW :FlyingFlat:

Ignorance or Arrogance I wonder :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

I just learned that a JRPG I backed on Kickstarter is coming out more or less the same day as Persona 5 Tactica and Super Mario RPG in November also. Ugh. :csd2sick:
