PS4 Controller Support?

How do you get a PS4 controller to work with the game? my friend has the game on PC and i have it on Switch, We play using cross play but whenever she tries to play shes forced to use the keyboard as the game refuses to detect her controller. Other games detect it just fine so what could be the issue? Would appreciate some help on this we've tried everything to fix it but no luck yet.

Only with Steam Overlay AFAIK, just set up your controller through there and you're good, though there are no PS button prompts unfortunately, so you'd need to rely on your muscle memory whenever you need to read inputs

Thanks so much for the answer but i gotta ask, Do you know if Steam Input works for PS4 Controllers too? I might ask my friend to use that too

It does indeed, it's a function that has been there before the PS5 was a thing

Alright, Thanks alot we got steam input work now all my friend needs is just some way to make the game display ps4 button prompts

Unless if you mod the game, there's no way for it to naturally display PS prompts like I said earlier, even if the game recognizes it via Steam. You'll need to rely on muscle memory at that.
