Here is my thoughts on improving River city girls 2 to have a better experience with it and possible the third game when it comes out
1.Give all consumables a temporarily effect(increase stats, increase bonus exp and money and some accessories effects)so it gives the player more reason to by them again because there's no reason to by them twice unless you really need the healing(p.s. show time limit for said effects)

2.While blocking add in a 4 directional dodge roll and pressing jump makes them do a back hop follow by a quick attack to rush back to a enemy knocking them down pressing heavy

2a.Make parrying a more bigger focus like when you parry a attack you can hit the enemy with a critical hit afterwards(The strength of hitting a enemy with a heavy attack with the tank badge on)

2b.Extend the parry window

2c.If getting hit you can roll out the way by pressing block the moment you get hit

3.Show how much hp and sp you have in numbers and damage you do and take also

4. Having over 50 accessories increase the amount a character can put on to at least 5 or you can but them on like armor parts like head,chest,arms,legs and feet

4a.To balance out accessories give them a durability meter depending on how much damage they take or give and you can repair them at the shop you got them from or a repair shop

4b.Some accessories have a area of effect around the player to benefit other players

5.Give enemies more effects like if a leader enemy is out all enemies in that group receives increase stats(25%)

5a.Like 5 if there is same type enemies with the leader the leader gets a boost also but lose it if they get defeated(12.5% for each one)

5c.Some enemies have increase money on them(money sign above their head)giving you more incentive to fight them instead of running place to place

6.Give the time cycle(day/night time)more like only certain stores be open at certain times and nightmare enemies spawn during night only

6a.You can advance time at hideouts

6b.Nightmare enemies attack faster and more often and have a aura or glow on them

7.Add in random lock fights while you travel around if you run pass to many enemies

8.You can get into a random lock fight on the bus

9.Going to a hideout all recruits is heal up and you can call the special recruits so you don't have to always go to them at a higher price

9a.You can order items from hideouts but at higher prices

10.Like River City Ransom Underground add in the willpower meter(underlay it with the health bar)

11.Random boss enemies might come out and attack you

12.If possible team attacks

13.Playable characters can be use as recruits

13a.You can tag in/out playable characters like marvel vs capcom

13b.The cpu can play along side you like the streets of rage remake fan game

14.Instead of having all recruits attack let them give out special effects like accessories

15.Spas double your hp and sp(bars be blue)until you lose them and temporarily increase all stats for a set time(25% to maybe 50%?)

16.Combined the guard break meter to specials so we can do guard break specials

17.Like streets of rage when you grab a enemy you can flip on them with the jump button to throw/attack them from either the back or front

18.Some stuff you can break has a chance to spawn weapons and money

19.When walking behind something your character will be transparent behind the scenery

20.Increase the level cap for new game plus players to at least 50 because why not(I'm usually at the max level at the end of the first playthrough)

21.Add in some 2d platforming sections like the double dragon games but don't make them hard or annoying like them

22.Element attacks need oomph like fire is meant to take them out faster,shock is for combos,freeze is more for defensive players,poison is for debilitation of stats and fire/shock/freeze can stack with only poison

23.Enemies hit by light flame attacks can be put in burn status causing them to take increase damage from attacks(25% to 50% for a time)and getting hit by a heavy attack knocking them down makes a explosion touching the ground damaging enemies around them

24.The shock status randomly shocks the enemy every 2 to 5 seconds not knocking them down and getting by a heavy attack shocks enemies around them also they can't block while in shock status

25.Cold status enemies can always be grab(can't grab break while cold)and can be frozen into a Ice block if keep getting hit by cold light attacks to take a very strong hit by a heavy,grabs and special attacks(damage X5)

26.Poison lowers attack by 25% to 50% while draining hp

27.Give us something like a combo breaker incase enemies happen to stun lock us in a attack or juggle us with other enemies

28.A modder name Muken(might be posting more of his mods up here) made a taunt mod for this game and if possible I like the taunt to add a effect to the character if completed interrupted and it has a cooldown so it can't be abused like shredder's revenge

29.Add elements to some special attacks(upgrade after level 25 or higher at the dojo)or by accessories

30.The higher the combo the more money enemies drop

31.If a enemy falls in a hole while in a damage state the player still receives the money

32.You can do charge up attacks with weapons making them do special effects and more damage

33.You can charge throw a weapon on the ground and the air(doing more damage)and it auto-locks on to the nearest enemy in front of you and throw weapons straight down on enemies while in the air
