Is there still a 'best' weapon?

I honestly forget how far back it was, but razor was considered the best weapon. Are the weapons more focused around which character you choose, or are there still ones to prioritize in every build?

There's so many characters, weapons, and now charms, too, I think there isn't really a 'best' weapon nowadays. I do find the heavy punch weapon from Mork to be an overall great weapon to start most maps with, but that's just due to consistency. Though I will say there's definitely tons of very weak weapons that I avoid almost always.

Any of the ones that shoot behind you (Caltrops, etc), most of the ones that fire only in your facing direction (Boat Anchor and so on), some of the really scattered random attacks like Meteorite Blast, I particularly dislike Blaze, and the snail.

They can all be good in the right circumstance, but I just find they underperform compared to some of the more solid all around options.

energy bolt melts enemies, i always keep an eye out for that. i think the Cog is busted lmao. it's crazy if you have a character like Lanyz who just wants to throw projectiles all over the place.

how do you get boat anchor

Glacier II, Ruin 1 - Complete the Stage with Supply Crate

Since you need to have Supply Crate I suggest a projectile type character like Lanyz for this one, I'll try it and get back to you.

Edit: I lied, I tried Nekros instead. Took me a few restarts as RNG wasn't kind the first couple tries. But once I got a good weapon spread it was easy.

Both Projectiles
1 extra trinket and weapon
5 rerolls, 2 banish
1 Favorite (Supply Crate)
The rest had 5 points each

No problem, you gotta beat the Glacier II stage once to open up the Supply Crate.

Bow, Lighting Storm, Picaxe, Needle - has the best dps in all my builds. Fireball ring has insane dps with projectile speed build. All other weapons is weaker, it seems, but i dont tryed all..
