Story Mode Not Progressing

I assume I'm doing something wrong, but I'm on day 35 in the story mode and I haven't received any quests other than flower orders and I haven't met any characters other than the little old shop lady. I've decorated, but the purple/pink bar isn't filling up. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely relaxing game, I'm just not sure how much longer I can keep watering, pruning, getting on the bus, and repeating. Any tips?

if you don't have a task on the screen, then you need to look at the R key to see what tasks you have (not only flower orders are displayed there), there should be tasks from characters among them that will move you further along the plot. for example, "jasmine for jasmine", you need to grow and give the jasmine, and then the plot will move on.

same issue here, with R also nothing pops up. need to fix the bridge, but the Markus quest doesn't trigger.

Do you have a task to fix the bridge? Have you tried to approach the architecture stand? (it's on the left, if you look at the entrance to the garden. and to the left of the mailbox). The bridge can be repaired with this stand.

I did not have a task from the board! Trick for me to letting Markus his quest trigger was finishing some of the statues first :)
