Pink Tulips / Seed variants

I need pink tulips for a quest, but I did not get this seed variant by chance.
Is there an option to buy seed variants in the village shop? I read that somewhere on the web, but I do only find standard seed in the shop. Do I miss something, a button to change the colour variant?

Pink Tulip was the last colour variant my plants spawned. Definitely possible to get, just group your tulips together and cover with the quick seed fertiliser every day

Been doing that for several weeks in game and nothing. About ready to give up. Last thing I need to unlock greenhouse. Sigh……

So basically there is some differences to the fertilizers that you buy at Lezlies shop versus those fertilisers you produce in your compost bin...

I haven't tried this for myself, but pink tulip seed variant are really hard to obtain...

Thanks I didn’t realize there was a difference between shop and compost fertilizer. I will give that a try.

What you make in the compost bin ensures that the flowers grow faster.

The pink version in the shop ensures that the flowers produce more seeds.

Damn, Ok I had all the tulips and some other flowers in the area using the store fertilizer. I finally got the notification of discovering the Pink Tulip!!!!! I check my inventory and I guess it was too full from pulling all of the other seeds (entire backpack had been empty) that I have hundreds and hundreds of in that area because it is NOT in my inventory.

Devs, is this normal behavior??? Seems like if a New Variant is found then prioritize putting that in the inventory first. Alt-F4'ed right out of the game.

Love the game but this is getting ridiculous. Hope we get a good amount of quality of life updates and balancing.

Any seeds that don't fit in your bag get automatically put into seed storage!
Same with the other kinds of storage if stuff doesn't fit in the bag. The game is actually really great in that regard :)

ive played this game for 14 hours so far still can't get pink tulip, will try the store fertilizer

i just kept trying and finally got it. Took way longer than every other seed. I think the use of fertilizer helped maybe but who knows. It seemed like the last thing i got and I then dropped the game immediately since there was nothing left to unlock flower wise. Not my type of game usually but I liked a lot and hope they build upon this idea.

Day 75 : I have over 30 tulips planted of all sorts... except Pink Tulips ...
I use the pink fertilizer everyday. I get tons of seeds.
Still no Pink Tulips. Tired. :P

EDIT: I finally got a Pink Tulip around Day 78 and opened the greenhouse on Day 80.
