Garden plant limit too low

I've barely made my garden feel even CLOSE to being full of plants, and I aleady reached the limit cap. I havent even gotten to the greenhouse yet.
plus having quests where you have to plant like 30 rose bushes, really kills your garden when it comes to that limit cap 8( cant do anything if I want to get those quests finished.

if i counted correctly i got 265 flowers

heres a list of how many of each flower/plant i got
i got all the color variant

2 of each amaryllis
1 of each clematis
3 of each cyclamen
1 of each bleeding heart
1 of each fatsia
1 of each ivy
3 of each sunflower
3 of each hellebore
1 of each hosta
1 of each hydrangea
1 of each morning glory
2 of each iris
1 of each jasmine
2 of each jasmine
2 of each lily
3 of each daffodill
3 of each poppy
1 of each peony
1 of each rose
1 of each lilac
4 of each tulip
4 of each pansy
3 of each gerbera

I was planning on a beautiful english garden with lots of perks and flowers, but I couldn't plant more flowers and this was before day 20! I hadn't even unlocked the other parts of the garden!
Now I'm struggling with the fact that if I have a new color plant, I have to destroy parts of the garden to plant the new colors. Sometimes have to remove 5 plants to add 1. Instead of a beautiful garden, it's becoming a functional garden.
Love the game, but the plant-limit is frustrating and very disappointing.

maybe make this safety net customizable in settings, similar to graphics. people with more elite computers can run the game without a limit, while people with slower computers can still enjoy the game with a flower limit.

from what I noticed its not just the number of plants but the size of the plants. i.e. I deleted many sunflowers but was only able to plant 2 rose bushes in its place.

I could be very wrong about this, but it seems like there is a space limit for your garden, and each flower has a different amount of space it takes up.

I'm not sure if it's a bug but the 30 black rose quest seem to only count the seeds. I had a bush already in the garden before i got the quest. The counter didn't go up when I planted and grew the only spare I had at the time. It does go up every time I get more black rose seeds in my inventory. Not sure if it's just me.

Hey everybody, we're in the process of wrapping up an update that will allow to increase the plant node limit from 400 to 1000 which was the sweet spot we saw in our testing internally and with our community to allow for smooth gameplay. It will come as soon as it's through testing.

I just hit this quest on the Switch version. I mean, I can kind of imagine it on the Switch version as it's struggling a bit sometimes as the frame rate is jank (nice to have it portable, though) but on looking up why I was suddenly being told I'd hit a limit when I'd just unlocked the bit in front of the greenhouse and I couldn't understand why I had all this space to put 30 rosebushes in but the game wouldn't let me.

Honestly, do they really expect me to dig up thirty of my plants in my carefully laid-out garden to plant 30 black rosebushes?

Sadly I've been having a lot of fun but I think this is the thing that's going to make me put this game down, at least until there's a patch for this, presumably reducing the amount needed for this mission, because there's no way I'm digging up half my garden to plant THIRTY emo rosebushes. :D

I know I have nowhere close to that and I am at my limit. When does this patch go through, it's been months. :(

(I love the game, just getting frustrated with trying to build a garden I want to keep when I have to keep tearing it apart)

Maybe make the gardens different zones like going to town is.
Cuts the lag and other issues.

Then we can have room for quests beautiful gardens and happy hearts!

there is an option in settings to increase plant limit providing your computer can handle it
