Hydrangea isn't producing new variants
Hi, I only have white Hydrangeas at this point, they very rarely give new seeds and they have never yet gave me any new colour variant... This makes me a bit stuck as I cannot access the greenhouse without them. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to encourage my plants to produce more seeds? :)

I had the same issue and it took literally the whole summer to get the hydrangea seeds i needed. I planted more hydrangea to increase the chance and just hoped for the best. As far as i know that is the only thing you can do.

I just found the one I needed for greenhouse.

It was 117 day, winter

I truly thought to start new save.

I found that buying that "Seed Fertilizer" in the shop is finally producing more seeds for me. But I planted 100 hydranges and I'm still looking for the purple variant to unlock the greenhouse. (I'm in fall) but I'm also MAXED on plants and pissed because I don't even have that many it feels like...

I am in early winter and have only one type of hydrangea missing - the one needed for the greenhouse obviously :D
But I've been using the Seed Fertilizer too and it does seem to help a bit.

The plant requirement for the greenhouse are pain... I have ten different tulip, but not the rose one. Or the rose roses. This is making me want to quit the game after so many hours and no greenhouse available

Looks like this is still an ongoing problem. Seeing as these comments go back as far as February and I also share in the frustration of being in Winter and no purple hydrangea today. :(

Terrific! now I know what I have to look forward to . LOL. I am stuck still in the first garden area--trying to get jasmines. I am in Fall--and just read ways to help getting those to bloom. But I am on a switch & decided to buy the game for Steam also--as they seem to have the 2 tiny DLC already. My switch game is only the basic game-so far. And I have apparently run into the max planting # already for the main area, so I am stuck right now, until I get jasmine--which I hope will unlock further progression....

FOr me it worked on day 83. I place white Hydrangea next to a another type of pink plant and use the pink seed producer to get the new type of colors.

Bad design really - greenhouse improves chances of variants but you need to unlock practically all variants to get the greenhouse??
I play the nintendo switch version and seeing this comments is discouraging T____T phew...
I am on day 17 and yet it feels like sleeping - collecting - sleeping - collecting. xD

Terribly frustrating! 120 days in, still waiting on a pink tulip to open it, and haven't gotten any new variants since roughly day 80 (seems I have them all, but the one I need). Yes, I use pink seed boost fertilizer.
I refuse to believe my RNG is this awful! lol :steamfacepalm:
The odds of a new seed variant (or indeed, ANY seed variant) from a plant seem to be somewhere around 1%. The best solution is randomizer mitigation: plant a LOT of the flower type you're going for seeds of (we're talking 10-20 at minimum, ideally 40+), sprinkle them with the maximum amount of Seed Fertilizer every day, and use the Magic Seed Bag as many times as you can each day. I ended up with the 1000 seed achievement within the first 15 days and completed every single item on Robin's task list by day 37 by doing this.
