The game is unfinished, that's a given, however in it's current state, it is very polished to what it allows you to do, had no problems in the tutorial.
My first impression was a bit overwhelming, the entire workshop area seems the exact same and the mouse controls are a bit wonky, but you get used to them.
Wish the different tables had a different mat or color on them to distinguish them.
The disassembly is intuitive, whether you're accustomed to firearms or not, it's pretty good at guiding you.
The internet market is very well made too.
the Sand-blasting is a bit finicky and has a very small crosshair, wish it was bigger personally, and the oxidization bath isn't very guiding, I ended up clicking on anything that glows until it said it was ready.
The attachment customization could be better by letting you pick which rails to mount them on,
it'd also be great if we had a broader selection of said attachments, angled grips, acogs and so on.
My biggest issue was the performance drop when using the AK47 at the gun range with a X1 scope, i went from 90fps at ultra settings to 20.
also the fact that the rifle in-game is an AKM, not an AK47, which as a gun nerd i would like to see fixed.

This game has a lot of potential, although a little janky right now, a couple patch fixes later and this could be the next big satisfying game!

Gunsmith simulator is a game where you can take on jobs, craft weapon parts from your workshop, oxidize metals, prepare wood materials, paint, configure, and even test on the shooting range.
if the game is inspired by another game, it does resemble PC Building Simulator, well hence the name "Simulator"

The game is created with Unity and despite the negative reputation recently happened with unity this year, it still is able to make games look phenomenal. the workshop, assembling guns at the table, the extra animation of reloading guns while running in the shooting range. sure isn't a lot but for a simulator about making guns it looks quite good i must say.

regarding about PC specs, i really recommend a good graphics card. Me having an micro-rtx motherboard running an gt 1030 with ryzen 3 3600 6 core, getting up to 40 FPS maximum, really doesn't cut it out even on very low settings. so take that as a warning for low-end PC users

The Sound Design in Gunsmith Simulator is not bad as i thought. im not a weapons expert but the weapon shots and reloads sound all-right to me. The Workshop and Shooting range is decent enough to be at acceptable levels. The music is mediocre, not everyone's got a taste for rock and pop, so either mute it or play you're own music. I couldn't bare it after 10 minutes anymore

What makes me happy is seeing another Simulator game, giving out simple education will immediately make me give attention towards those kind of games. I'll leave the problems with getting a legal education degree and politics asides, this game does it's best at what it aims for in 3 simple terms: learn guns, make guns, use guns. and that's all it ever needs to be good at.

The game is still in Early Access and is limited towards the content, aswell as severe bugs that didn't allow me to fully interact with the game's mechanics such as jobs or new weapons to craft. i hope the bugs that i listed are gonna get fixed in the near future
delivering away a Mauser in a weapon case has a wrong animation, receiving emails or jobs doesnt work (i get a red exclamation mark on new jobs but it doesn't show up), controls and camera movement in the assembly table and wood works should be corrected or improvised for convenience, Mauser animations on the testing table doesn't work, Smooth bore probably doesn't work on Winchester 21? (needs to be confirmed), Pressing G to start bugs on the skeet training (shotgun training), changing paint settings while weapon is stored somewhere changes the weapon skin even if its not applied after new setting.

Do i recommend the game? Absolutely. anyone who likes to learn more about guns, give it a go and you might be intrigued to know more about guns and the process of creating them.

No not really, but if you wanna help the developers financially you are doing a good favor for them and get content updates and hot fixes released faster then a wild bore inside a corn field on a hot summer night.

Its a game alright not a simulator thats for sure. Some guns need to be taken apart in an impossible way, some parts are not named correctly. Overall playable but not a good simulator

I really enjoyed the playtest! Ive never really been into advanced simulators like this, but when I tried it it was very fun! People complain that the game does the working for you, but thats totally optional. I went 15 minutes trying to find parts of the gun until I realised you could click to show you the part you want. Very fun, could waste hundreds of hours with new content.

The map border for gun range is accurate, I went around the entire map checking EVERY LITTLE SPOT, and i wasnt able to find anywhere to walk off the map.

My only issue with the game is controls/gun rotation. It can be a little wonky moving the gun around and sometimes the camera is too close to a gun (for example the gun safety test, you barely have space to rotate the gun around and if you dont know where certain things are like the safety on the Winchester, it can take you a minute trying to slam the gun against the wall to find it.)

I thought this game would be a lot of fun, as I'm a big fan of these simulator games. However I found that a game in which you get to build guns but not kill anybody is wildly unsatisfying. I'll bring this up to my parole officer.
