I'd have to see a lot more of what the game actually looks like, but no offensive, it looks like a modded version of ARK.
and a tiny bit of pokemon
Nope. There is no griefing and enslaving other players. In fact you cannot make life miserable for anyone in this game which will probably keep sociopaths away. A major plus.
I've been playing the SEA version and loving it. But I also have well over a thousand hours in Ark.
It's also a more relaxing play, much more chill since you aren't likely to get eaten by a raptor five times in a row while trying to find a place to put down your first base.
Less jumpscares, more mechanics, planning and pretty pretty monsters. (or hideous ones)
consider me sold.
Careful. Combat is very poor. Its a mobile game in its essence with a beautiful world and creature taming that is just fun. But some elements are simply bad. Like mentioned combat.
Yet if you like hunting animals and building houses while grinding for gear it just might be for you. I have yet to try pvp so no clue about it.
I have a right to my opinion and I say that in my opinion combat is super poor. I have played for months on Asian servers, had a lot of fun, but, again in my opinion, combat is poor.
You are of course entitled to your own opinion. What you are not entitled to is telling me what my opinion should be. So NON SENSE is kind of insulting here.
it is fairly basic if you're looking for something else.
For a survival craft game it's about on par.
I wouldn't consider it any different than say, Valheim or Ark, or Conan, or....
For those, it's much different.
If you're coming in looking for Dark Souls, then yes, the combat is NOT THAT.
But combat in Chimeraland is only how you get the stuff you need. It's not the main meat of the content. The purpose isn't to be the best fighter with the quickest reflexes.
Also, once you get higher gear with more abilities on it, or you get higher level and want to take on greater challenges and need weapon swap outs, then it's probably better than some other offerings out there.
If you're talking level 10 with grey weapons and basic monsters, then yes, the combat is very very basic.
But it works and works well.
So "poor" is an unfair assessment.
I might take "boring" or "repetitive" for that level of play. Not poor, since, to many, that implies it doesn't work well.
And it does.
