It's broken across the board for all Steam Deck users. I do believe it was mentioned that it's being looked into. I think there is a patch on it's way which could solve this issue. At least I'm hoping.
We are aware of the issue and we are working on solving it, hopefully an answer should be there shortly.
Sadly it is not that easy as it is not Valve directly but a 3rd party company that made the sound software.
Not good enough. Sound has been out for over a month on an entire platform - in addition to Easy Anti-Cheat booting people from online for no reason.
Past the refund stage here, and the worst part is, even after being dismissed and treated like an afterthought, I still want to play this game!
Plus, who are you to decide an official explanation as to why this issue is happening isn't good enough for you? Trust me, I get where you're coming from, I'm miffed that the sound is borked as well and I don't want to have to keep switching to Windows via dualboot just to play it on the Deck. Here's the thing, though. Rome wasn't built in a day. This stuff takes time, and in some cases even longer than initially planned(such as, coincidentally enough, the game being delayed allegedly due to ESRB dilemmas and rights to the phrase "Fight Forever"). Hell, I'm still waiting for WWE 2K to fix the collision detection issues with women wrestlers and most maneuvers(ex. Springboard Blockbuster, Jeff Hardy Comeback(I forget what it's called now that Jeff's in AEW, my apologies for that) don't connect at all, or they do and it's a situation where both wrestlers get hurt like it was a botched cannonball senton.
Besides, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the update fixing this issue is planned to come out alongside a bunch of other fixes and such to time it with...well, something, I'm just not sure what, if anything. Reason I think that is the updates were largely tied to DLC, with one being more tied to Stadium Stampede being a thing at All In this year(save for a hotfix that was rolled out not too long ago on Xbox). Trust me, I don't like it either, but we shouldn't insult or harass the support team or community managers over this.
I ain't gonna tell you to buy the game on another platform or play it on your computer instead, cause that's just a waste of money. I'm just asking you to understand that this is a bigger issue for the dev team to fix than we thought it'd be. And by we, I mean us players. Because people have weirdly accused me as being part of the dev team or whatever(so much as to call me a spy, a paid shill, and Kenny Omega's BY GOD burner account, no I am not kidding, yes I wish I was kidding).
Sound should be sorted with todays patch.
It is not a 100% fix hence why it is not listed on patch notes, it is more of a work around.
If you still have the issue after todays patch PLEASE post here.
