Main concrern I have with this game is that it doesn't feel like wrestling. it's feels more like a cheap street fighter clone with wrestling skin. playing this vs. CPU isn't really fun and nobody in the game behaves like in a real wrestling match. it's all about block/evade/counter the things real wrestlers do very casually because it's about exchanging bumps and delivering a good show. multi-man matches are pure clusterfuq. maybe that unreal game engine is just not the best choice for a wrestling game or the current staff at Yukes doesn't know how wrestling works (even after tons of games they made). it's a fun party game for one evening with friends and good for some laughs but that's about it in the current state.
The game has its flaws but not many to write an essay about.
The game was never story focused to begin with the game's entire appeal is the fact it's a old school arcady wrestling game.
I went back and tried playing 2K23 after FF and I just can't. The gameplay feels too weighty and delayed. Just the act of moving your wrestler around feels bad. Both Simulation and Arcade feel awful. Arcade doesn't feel arcade-like AT ALL.
