Why is so many aew wrestlers not in the game to begin with?

I bought the deluxe on Pc and so many wrestlers are missing?

From Aew missing are

The acclaimed , daddy magic Billy Gunn Buddy Matthews etc why then CM punk is in it?

Yet we have stupid indie wrestlers from New Japan? Like the magic girl!

No swerve Strickland why?

Think having Kenny omega run this was the biggest mistake ever! EVP’s trying to run the game like they try to run the show..


Some characters are so overpowered like Darby Allen come on lol

The glitches are bad, wrestlers falling through the floor of the ring the ladder falling and you standing on air.


Not to mention you can’t connect to a single online game!

The time you had, the delivery should have been better!

Hopefully this gets fixed and will be playable better soon!

- Nothing is 'missing' the roster was announced beforehand and some of the season pass DLC is not released yet.

- CM Punk was originally going to be on the cover cause CM Punk sells copies. (Which is also why Jeff is in it)

- This game has been in production for a long time, back from when their Womens roster was not that big yet. Which is why people like Yuka, Anna Jay & Tay are in there but Hayter, Toni Storm and Saraya are not.

Think having Kenny omega run this was the biggest mistake ever! EVP’s trying to run the game like they try to run the show..
- Kenny Omega is a part of the team that doesn't mean he makes every decision and has not been an EVP for a long time...

Some characters are so overpowered like Darby Allen come on lol
- This can be tweaked but just saying someone is "overpowered" is a bit broad for anyone to do anything usefull with. You might want to actually give an example about WHAT in his moveset is overpowered.

The glitches are bad, wrestlers falling through the floor of the ring the ladder falling and you standing on air.
- Welcome to modern era wrestling games, Atleast it is not crashing constantly.

Not to mention you can’t connect to a single online game!

- Making games takes a long time and all of the moves being hand animated ALSO takes a long time. Add to that all the coding that needs to be done, people that need to be added, voice acting that needs to be recorded. Bug fixing that needs to be done. Customization modes that need to be added and you fill time pretty quickly.

Hopefully this gets fixed and will be playable better soon!
- I hope they strike a good balance of paid DLC and free content updates to keep people coming back.

I understand that they have DLC coming but was it that hard to give some the originals like 'THE ACCLAIMED' i mean they feature Platinum song by Max Caster. and i know more will be coming but feel like its just a little short in some terms on the roster. The Acclaimed has been there since start just like MJF when they came over from Create a Pro.

I completely understand that Toni Storm and and Saraya and Athena (The Fallen Goddess) is not in it, Jamie Hayter i do not understand when she was on Aew for a long time, and things like that just are anoying as hell given they had it delayed for so long.

But the story-line for the female roster lacks specially being the elite story mode, all they do is fight male wrestlers and become a TNT Champion, why not the AEW Womens Champion or TBS Champion?

I am saying more the story line and things i have read and saw in his interview about the game, they have been working for so long on this, could have added tested and fixed the bugs that clearly is a problem such like a ladder falling and you are still standing on the ladder that falls and dissapears etc and walking through the air and falling in the ring only having ruby soho's head showing,

Well for example when i was MJF and i used 4 finishers from him and his tag blinking he is in danger, i basically kick his arse, and he still manages to come back and attacks me relentlessly and even trying to kick out (following prompts for kick outs ) he beats me. yet the only one that did, i was able to beat wardlow but not darby allin and he is so strong and comes back from the dead.

True actually, if i make a private match with my son or husband we can play online but have to play against two com players. i have tried joining casual and raked match making and can't join any online and several different attempts. don't know if its because i'm in Australia makes a difference

I get it takes all that time, even today WWE have bugs and issues too and have got the games and they defiantly have problems still and they sink a lot of money into the games that 2K make, But i hope that AEW GAMES continue to fix the issues and improve the game in time along with Yikes. i know you can report the bugs online.

Me too, i was one very excited about getting the AEW game, and i hope they continue to add a lot of AEW DLC to make us all happy and keep the game running, I actually like the Being Elite Storyline, like how you can workout and Sight-see and take selfies and go AEW Dark or Dynamite as well Pay Per Views it is fun part of the game!

While I understand every wrestler not being in the game, it's pretty lame that they withheld the likes of FTR, Matt Hardy, Broken Matt Hardy, etc., to sell as DLC even though they were finished and ready on day one. Real nickel and diming.

The missing characters are explained as this game is basically 4 years late. For whatever reason the roster they decided to focus on was mostly the 2019 one with some additions like Punk and the Hardys. Story mode starts off with the AEW champion not being decided so it's most likely set before its first ppv. At Double or Nothing 2019 the roster was this:

They seem to have filled in gaps with newer wrestlers here and there. I'm not really a fan of it since tons of tag teams are missing at least 1 person. The roster sounds large at nearly 50 but you can immediately see how many people are missing. What's even more frustrating is a ton of the missing people have their theme songs in creation suite.

It's pretty near perfect honestly, IMO there's not that many missing that can't be added with DLC/updates.

Women's Side: Maki Itoh, Toni Storm, Saraya, Julia Hart, Emi Sakura, Penelope Ford and Jamie Hayter and then the roster for the women is pretty much complete.

Men's Side: Samoa Joe, Butcher, Blade, The Acclaimed, Billy Gunn, The Gunns, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio, 2.0, Daniel Garcia, The rest of HoB.

I just want to say that your disrespect towards Yuka Sakazaki offends me :)

Forreal though, the Joshi's, in particular Shida, Riho, and Yuka were all major players in the very early days of AEW. They are all 3 also some of the most experienced wrestlers on the roster, male or female. Having them be apart of AEW in the early days when there was basically no star power in the division helped a lot.

They deserve to be in the game, especially Riho and Shida, two former AEW Women's Champions, and Riho being the first. Also, I'm EXTREMELY happy Yuka is in the game. She's one of my favorite female wrestlers. You likely have no interest in watching her Japanese stuff, but she is a great heel over there. She's currently injured though.

Because they're gonna sell them as DLC, and can you really blame them? For the past year I've seen so many people talking about their hopes on what DLC they're gonna have for the game... DLC for a game that didn't even have a RELEASE DATE yet.

They're selling Matt Hardy for $8... MATT HARDY. And so many people are still gonna buy it. The person to blame for the bad roster is the gamers who are willing to spend money on it.

Back to even MJF wasn’t even completed. They have the pinnacle loading screen there, you have to unlock the original with currency .

time to fix all these things and they were just too lazy.

You can change your nose and eyes and make a person you want. Aew you get 4 choices.

Never once did I say she shouldn’t be in the game now did I? I said it was kinda sad and lazy that they put her in first where we should’ve had AEW originals first, but I know why they did that so they can charge the DLC!

I love your response about the game being broken. You basically told him that wrestling games are broken, and at least this game isn’t as broken. Deal with it.😂😂😂 Gamers kill me. They willingly eat more ♥♥♥♥ than any other consumer while taking up for the corporations that feed it to them. A broken game is unacceptable. No excuses. They don’t sell you a car, and tell you that you’re getting the tires and the steering wheel a year after you buy it, but gamers would probably respond with “well thank you for working so hard on building and designing my new car. Take all the time that you need.” It’s baffling, to me.

It wasn't from scratch. Tons of animations were reused. A lot of the wrestlers also have copy pasta moves.

What animations exactly? I have played every yukes wrestling game since PS1 and haven't noticed any.

Bruh you can't even recolor stock wrestler's outfits. You can't use stock wrestler parts so I can't make caws to replace missing people and use stock assets to make them look better. There's no good reason why my Alex Reynolds CAW can't just wear John Silver's outfit. Especially since he's in the stock footage cut scenes in story mode in it. Several people are missing but their songs and/or entrance animations, videos, etc are in Creations mode. It doesn't matter because creation mode is so gimped you can't make half of them. Evil Uno's not playable at all, doesn't have any parts and he's part of the AEW Games team. The missing wrestlers are mostly nonsensical.
