It's already optimized for Steam Deck :)
Hi ! I am the one who wrote this comment on YouTube (and also the one that made the Switch port of the game). Did you install the game on the system storage or an sd card ? The game streams content a lot so it would be better for it to be on system storage.
The game runs at 30fps pretty stable on Switch (few lags at specific places and when cinematics zoom out) with lower graphic settings than on PC/PS5/Xbox and with volumetric fog disabled. It also renders at a lower resolution with an upscaling filter. It's similar to the "low" setting on PC with some additional sacrifices. If you make the comparison, the Nintendo Switch version is obviously not the best. I'm really sorry for that but there is nothing we can really do about it, the Nintendo Switch is a very cheap device in term of hardware and Unity (the engine that we are using) consumes performances more and more overtime, making it harder and harder for devs to make games that run smoothly on Switch. We think that the Switch version is ok for people who won't make the comparison with other versions. But I understand that you can feel screwed if you wanted the best version of the game.
Can you DM me on our Discord so we can find a solution for that ?
Same, i'll give it other tries or do it on PC later. Love the game btw <3
Edit: Also, is a physical release planned? I'd definitely pre-order it through anyone like LRG or another publisher.
Could you please tell if the story is linear (no player's input) or branching?
Are the keyboard and mouse controls rebindable?
How does the game save the progress? Is manual saving in different save slots at any time out of combat available?
Does the cooking part involve anyone's body parts (e.g. legs), muscle tissue, or bodily fluids (e.g. milk)?
How many recipes are there? I think I've done almost all of them.
Where is Circon?!
How do I get Barbara out of the Constance Hullabaroo?
I chatted with everyone in Constance several times throughout the game and never got the third point in "Crowdwritten Guide" - is this bugged?
edit: After trying, French is clearly the language to use.
