I personally enjoy this game but I understand why some people may not like it.
Hear me out for a sec.

Lets break down the story...
It's about a group of blades that are turned into warriors called Touken Danshi, and are tasked to protecting the Japanese history from these ugly lookin' monsters called History Retrograde Army.
You time travel around the history of Japan to make sure history follows the correct course.

This game is very much targeted for my girllies~ As the characters are ALL male.
I'd say this game is pretty easy for those who are first time playing button mashing, combo learning and such.
Story wise in my opinion in the game is understandable but because I've watched the animes and played the first game I know how the story goes really. If you don't quite understand any of the story line or any of the terms, I'd suggest watching Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru to get at least the basics down.

For the ones that dont like it, I can totally understand why, as it dosen't really feel like a true warrior -slashing game. It's prob because it was made for new people trying something different.
As someone who is still new to controllers and plays mainly on the keyboard and mouse - it was really a great why to introduce me to the controllers better into the fighting style type.

Now the Story Mode/Easy Mode. I PRAISE on how they make it EXACTLY what the mode says!
Some games make the Story Mode wayy too hard when it hits like what.. Chapter 3?
This game REALLY says, "Here I give you help so you can move into the game quicker and enjoy the story fr."
And I appreciate it a lot!

Hence why I personally enjoy the game. c:
