How complete is this game?
I know it’s in early access so I was just wondering.

I've played for ~8.5 hours and there's still a handful of things to unlock at the shop, but it's hard to say when it's "over" just yet as I haven't been paying attention to an overall progress bar if there is one.

Currently there are 5 biomes and 12 main weapons to get, along with passives. The last couple biomes have some bruiser type regular enemies and are more challenging, though the first boss can still push some people to try, and has an interesting mechanic that is a DPS check after you beat him that determines whether or not you're going to get an annoying miniboss later.

Some of the builds revealed themselves later when I received new weapons or passives that I haven't gotten to try yet.
Theres 15 main weapons actually.

Also woah I had no idea that letting the head go was the difference between pirate or the other one. That pirate is WAY harder so I guess it's better not to kill the head.

I'm 6.9 hours in and have only beaten the first main boss, but I've played solo so far and fight everything/take a lot of risks while not being great at the game yet. So depending on how good you are the mileage will vary quite a lot.

Might not be worth it yet if you're a god among men and only want to reach the end of it, definitely worth it if you enjoy doing runs on repeat IMO. I'd suggest trying it out and seeing if the combat clicks with you, because that's basically what the game revolves around.
I mean, even after you win you unlock the next difficulty. This happens up to the 5th and final difficulty. It's worth the price even if they stopped developing it right now IMO. Assuming you like this kind of game of course.

I finished the last boss in the campaign in less than 4 hrs - as somebody that enjoys these styles of games I found it quite easy to rip through.

Now all that's left is an incremental difficulty increase and some unlockables.

it is version 0.1..... many things still needed to be added considering some of the things you cannot do anything with at the ARK.

With this being from the Dead cells team which has done a massive amount of updates on that game. I would say we have a good or long way to go.

Thanks for all the replies! I might wait a bit so there’s a little more content.

Gameplay feels complete (probably missing weapons). Idk about content amount.

The stages are linear. Non-linear stages added an element of exploration to dead cells and what immediatelly set it apart from all the others.

Hopefully it will be just as good as Dead Cells in the future
