I played tons of Nintendo 64 games in 4-player split screen at 15fps on smaller TVs. It's possible. The point is to have the option for families to get together and play the game without requiring multiple PCs.
Surprisingly, I have multiple PCs in the same room, but I don't wanna buy an OLED for my PC just to play 1 game. It's easier for us all to sit on the couch with surround sound on the beefiest PC.
Tho, at any rate you are free to purchase the game with it being played by one of your family with everyone else gathering around and backseating doing their best to help or just cheer the current player. When player dies, next guy gets to sit and play.
Don't get me wrong, it would have been cool if the game were made to be played on the same screen, but it doesn't seem the case.
