Can you fuse all 3 characters?

The first time I fused two characters and got to another fusing contraption I was pumped, like okay here we go TRINITY fusion, but it only had weapons. Then I thought maybe it's a late game mechanic, and now I'm thinking it doesn't happen at all.

I'm loving this game, it's got a great gameplay loop, and it's not a deal breaker or anything but the game is called Trinity Fusion, you gotta assume you can fuse all three characters at some point.
