How does this game utilise eye tracking?
When playing with my Quest Pro over Quest Link, I can clearly see that the game is tracking my gaze with a large, transluscent rectange following my eyes. My question is, does this do anything other than make the areas where I am looking slightly brighter?

I don't remember anything about this game supporting eye tracking. Are you sure you might not have accidentally enabled an accessibility setting or something in that area?

Sounds like a visual artifact from foveated rendering

This was on screen when I launched the game. I didn't enable anything. The game doesn't support eye-tracked foveated rendering, I checked with the OpenXR Toolkit. I suppose it's possible that the transluscent rectangle shows up in games with no ETFR support when you use the toolkit? I don't recall this ever happening before, though.
