in 0.50 there are permanent non scaled alchemy bonuses.
I find it incredibly satisfying to stack a bunch of +Energetic and +Elemental buffs, then fire of a basic Cantrip that send Spark income from equilibrium to +100M/s and then spam to spend it before it fades.
you're probably missing a side-grade you don't know about or may have just gone bonkers with your capacity. I never experienced this problem.
imo, it's interesting to have a resource you have to constantly hand-generate throughout the whole game. it's a pretty unique idea as far as the idle-game genre is concerned. the way spark works legitimately felt at least as cool to me as it was annoying. probably more cool than annoying.
Alchemy in beta is pretty strong, so long as you have enough other resources to match the burn from refinement/transformation
