So about the whole schizo/schizoposting/schizocore aesthetics
Apparently there's a critique of it from various corners.
https://www.accresearch.org/shortanalysis/eco-fascism-accelerationism-and-schizoposting-a-merger-of-extremist-aesthetics
"Such depictions specifically tend to exaggerate the connections between mental illness and criminal violence, suicidal ideation, paranoia, and conspiratorial thinking by emphasizing blood, gore, psychological horror, and illegible or unhinged textual descriptions of violence or intrusive thoughts. Intentionally glitchy visual effects and disturbing audio often amplify the imagery’s thematic content. Some imagery is also juxtaposed with cartoonish characters and images—Shrek and SpongeBob SquarePants remain perennial favorites—to further unnerve the viewer by mutating benign content designed for children into something disturbing and nefarious. "
And this article linked the following podcast
https://psychcentral.com/blog/is/inside-schizophrenia-podcast-what-is-schizoposting-and-why-its-dangerous
And in this podcast it was mentioned that this trend has the attention of Canadian government
"And this has been tracked by Hatepedia. And Hatepedia is an online database and resource center for educators, parents that’s actually through the government of Canada’s anti-racism program."

How do you guys feel about this? The major issue seems to be that they are all tying this with the far right and the like which is wrong, there's a lot of left wing use of this aesthetic - as in this developer's games.
Also none of them address where this would've came from on the Left, for example how the understanding of "schizophrenia" was filtered thru Deleuze-Guattari. I guess one thing might be a gap between how people suffering from schizophrenia and the medical professionals see it, as opposed to what the term came to signify in academic humanities and the way it trickled down from there into art and culture.

Wow, so the left can also make little dark age edit.

Is PPR even a schizo core or whatever they call the gotye hyperborean edit? I'm pretty sure the game is just exaggerated of a fictional reality in the form of Ville Kallio's art style choice.

The game's worst hallucinations is just understanding a sentient mushroom man talking to you about how man is just a v8 engine of suffering.

You may be overthinking this mate
I work with mentally ill/drug addicted people and i can attest to you: mentally ill and/or drug addicted people and criminality have a very intimate relationship. Anyone who denies this IMO obvious fact needs a fu'king reality check.

Spend two hours in the evening in Frankfurt am Main railway district or a similar place, i'm sure every country has it.

You mean the thinktank or whatever that first link leads to thats focused on preventing possible violence that could be motivated by very valid concerns about current state of the world doesnt say it all?
It takes the mental illness and wipes its aßß with it.
I see that picture of Bezos there and i wonder what kind of person gets so upset by suggestion of violence against such beautiful soul.

Bold move to broach this discussion on the Steam forums but you raise some very interesting points haha. To speak very frankly I get extremely centrist lib vibes from the entire article and the brief mention of "Green Accelerationism" is a very haphazard attempt at lumping leftist critique in with 14 y/o libertarian Asmongold fans.

I tend to approach any of these research fellow think tank freaks with a hefty dose of caution, lol.

Sorry, that article and podcast are 2shitlib4me.
God I hate university nerds
Can't blame them. People who didn't buy the game certainly have nothing to talk about.
i think its cool and artists should do whatever they want in terms of visual aesthetics if it works. thank you
