Does this game get easier?!
Cruelty Squad had a very similar issue where the start of the game is extremely slow and difficult, especially if playing blind, where you have very limited options in terms of the weapons and augments at your disposal. I’m assuming this game is similarly paced? Because starting off is insanely unforgiving, I can’t face off against a single enemy without losing a huge chunk of my health, so I’m really hoping it isn’t going to be like this the entire game.

I'm only 4 hours in and everything is still very difficult but I've managed to unlock a couple guns and see a bunch of places. Some stuff that's important to know that the game never tells you about:
- Always be in your mech if you're not forced to be indoors for some reason, you're more or less immune to regular weapons as long as your armor doesn't get damaged and only need to worry about other mechs
- Running humans over kills them instantly and is cheaper and easier than shooting them with mech weapons
- PIcking up weapons dropped by enemies unlocks them, this goes for mech weapons as well and you can manually replace your own mech's weapons on the field!
- You can hold the jump button to dash in the mech, this can let you slip past enemy mechs without fighting them sometimes (as long as you don't move TOWARDS them) and is also great for just moving around large empty areas.
The two areas adjacent to EFP HQ require you to go through v-walker enemies which IMO are the hardest in the game, especially when yours doesn't have any extra parts. The bridge is harder, since it's all open and the enemies have almost-perfect aim. Once you get through the city map you get to a residential area with stuff you can do that isn't walker combat and things open up a bit.
