Balance or Skill Issue

I have played a ♥♥♥♥♥ ton of tactical shooters and tons of Cruelty Squad.. and while I have barely played PPR, I have a hardtime feeling that the balance as is on NORMAL is so instantly brutal in mech combat. I'm fine with the onfoot stuff, but man.. even with Standard Armor on your Mechs you can get killed near instantly.

I've had the most luck with strong semiautomatic weapons like the 20mm parasonic rifle from the sovereign bridge, or the 0.45gauge shotgun.

dual wield one of those, and you will be able to kill an enemy mech before it starts shooting back.

Yeah, you need to go into this with a completely different mindset. Pissed me off at first, too. You need to play a lot more stealthily and upgrade your character with any money you can scramble. Mechs can be kind of cheesed. Take some heavy weapon of your mech and hide behind a corner or something far away and slowly shoot at enemy mechs, usually they don't notice and if they do then you can try your luck or run away.

landing the first shot against enemy armor is mandatory. they really do shred you like it's nothing otherwise lol

You play as a cop in a world where everyone wants to kill you and easily has the means to. You're supposed to feel paranoid and weak, just like in real life

Zooming in while fighting helps, genuinely. Every shot matters.

Hey! Try to use Free View while in combat. 'E' by default. It can help to aim faster
